Description: Drive tractor trailer or designated vehicle and transport materials to specified destinations. Adhere to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations regarding the operation of the delivery equipment. This includes but is not limited to hours of service, securing of load, pre and post trip paperwork, etc. Perform additional duties as determined by the business unit manager. Essential Job Functions: • Operate Class A delivery vehicle and associated equipment in an efficient and expense conscious manner. • Load and unload trucks/trailers as required • Complete pre and post trip vehicle inspections, insure that required preventive maintenance is completed on vehicles being operated and follow safety procedures • Insure that all materials are properly secured for transit. • Maintain a driver’s log book as required • Be willing to work overtime as needed • Follow all company policies and procedures. • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines. • Experience and Education Required: Required (R) or Desired/Preferred (D) (R) Read, Speak and Write English (R) High school diploma or GED (R) Must be at least 21 years of age (R) 2 year’s previous driving experience in a Class A vehicle Required Skills and Qualifications: Valid Class A CDL Drivers License Maintain a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (physical card) in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) Working Conditions: Drive truck and deliver product within the guidelines of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, frequent use of feet on foot controls, frequently climbing in and out of truck and trailer, frequent bending, lifting, and unloading in all types of weather conditions (including seasonal temperature changes). The Sales Consultant will analyze assigned territory¡¦s composition-segment mix, target prospects/customers and pockets of untapped opportunity, organize market and product blitzes, understand customer¡¦s practices and objectives, utilize value propositions, review performance/progress, execute all sales initiatives, and provide feedback on market data. Individual will also seek out new opportunities to expand business through new account acquisition, account retention, cross-selling and pull through. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: „X Minimum of 2 years experience selling kitchen and bath cabinets „X High School diploma/GED plus College degree or equivalent work experience „X Ability to read, speak and write English „X Extensive travel required „X Proficiency with ERP, PC and Microsoft software „X Previous marketing or sales consulting experience preferably in the building materials industry „X Financial acumen and high attention to detail „X Positive attitude, good judgment and common sense | |
