The
history of The Wolf Organization reads like a classic
American success story. Founded in 1843 by Adam Wolf,
part businessman and part pioneer, Wolf began with
one store selling dry goods and lumber on the Banks
of the Susquehanna River in rural Pennsylvania.
Riding the wave of American prosperity,
tempered with the frugality of the era and mixed with
a heavy portion of good old-fashioned business sense,
Wolf and his descendants developed the business into
a family heirloom, strengthening it from generation
to generation. Each family member, applying the new
advances of the day, grew the business
into what is now a hallmark of innovation and service
in the building materials industry.
Today, the business rests in the
hands of the sixth generation of family members. Wolf's
one store has matured into a $350 million enterprise
with three operating divisions stretching from New
England to the Carolinas.
Honesty and customer satisfaction,
principles on which the company was founded, continue
to be the cornerstone of the Wolf businesses, contributing
to its standing as one of the nation's premier distributors
of building products.
From its storybook past to its innovative
present, The Wolf Organization remains strong and optimistic
about the people, products and promise of the
American building industry. |
