Wolf Begins New Era with Successful Transition

The torch has been passed.

The Wolf Organization has successfully completed its three-year succession planning process with excellent results. Meeting all of the plan's major objectives, the deal was completed and became effective May 5, 2006. As a result of careful planning and investor review by the current management team, Wolf was able to secure continuity for all of its over 600 employees, keep the business locally based in its communities, reduce the concentration of family ownership and allow for investment by an outside investment partner and the current management team.

After mutual discussion about the company's goals for succession, Weston Presidio, a private equity firm with offices in Boston, San Francisco and Menlo Park, California agreed to acquire 47% of The Wolf Organization. 20%was alloted to the current nine member management team, and the remaining 33% will be retained by the Wolf family members, Thomas Wolf, George Hodges, and William Zimmerman.

The Wolf Organization is proud of its past and looks forward to this opportunity to move the organization into the future, retaining the spirit of family, community and the promise of success.

The Wolf Organization profiled in ProSales.

It’s great to be noticed, and The Wolf Organization has been noticed by one of the
premier publications in the building business—ProSales.
ProSales recently ran an article profiling The Wolf Organization as a company of interest not only because of our 163 year history as a family-owned business, but because of the success we have achieved in our industry. ProSales recognizes The Wolf Organization’s efforts in technology, process improvements and, above all, attributes the continued success of the business to family leadership, the dedication of management and the organization’s “family” of exemplary employees.

The Wolf Organization kicked off its 2006 United Way campaign with employee meetings at all York area locations.  A perennial Pacesetter company with an impressive 73% employee participation rate, The Wolf Organization is the second highest per capita contributor to the United Way of York County.

The United Way supports over thirty agencies and programs.  The Wolf Organization encourages employee participation by offering one extra vacation day to every employee who pledges one hour of pay per month to the annual fund campaign.  The company also encourages participation in the United Way Day of Caring, which will be held September 9, 2005, and will include Wolf teams engaged in repair, remodeling and maintenance activities at multiple United Way agency locations.
